Mundo Trattoria

This is a fabulous restaurant where the owner and his mother are the main chefs. There is a small regular menu and a table d'hote which changes each week or two. The table d'hote allows for a choice of starter and a choice of main meal, and the price is determined based on the second course you choose. coffee is included in this price. The dishes are very interesting... we recently had a starter that was a braised beef salad -- it was served with crunchy julien carrots in a raddichio boat with sesame oil... it was so unusual and a great combination of sweet, salty, and bitter. The braised duck was superb -- the meatiest and most tender duck I have ever had. Osso bucco and lamb shanks are always done well here. We are never dissappointed with this restaurant.
